The new range of Intel® NUC 11 mini pcs features the new 11th Gen Intel® processor.
We show you the new presentation videos of the Intel® NUC mini pcs.
Intel has just unveiled the new generation of Intel NUC 11 Series mini PCs, with a wide variety of hardware configurations and different models to try to cover all needs, including the possibility of using them for gaming since the top-of-the-range models incorporate a RTX 2060. We tell you what are the technical characteristics of all models.
With the creation of the Intel NUC mini PCs, the company created a new format for small computers designed to offer solvency while occupying the least possible space, but times change and with this 11th generation Intel will offer four different formats, oriented to four different segments. In the past, Intel offered the possibility of having a mini Gaming PC with its top-of-the-range models and in this generation it has taken it to the extreme, since gaming models have a dedicated RTX 2060 mounted (why haven’t they used an RTX 30 Series is already something else).
The new Intel NUC 11 Series: technical characteristics
There are six NUC models that Intel has taught, in four different formats and for four different market segments:
- NUC 11 Performance Panther Canyon: Very high-end NUC, gaming segment.
- NUC 11 Enthusiast Phantom Canyon: Desktop PC.
- NUC 11 Pro Tiger Canyon: Integrated Systems.
- NUC 11 Compute Element: it is a board with a blower type heatsink designed to be integrated into other systems.
The entire new family of mini PCs is based on the 10nm Tiger Lake-U processors, and the models they offer range from the Core i3-1115G4 and (2 cores at 4.1 GHz with 48 Xe-LP EU of integrated graphics). 1.25 GHz) up to the Core i7-1165G7 (4.7 GHz 4 cores and 1.3 GHz Xe-LP 96 cores).
The Intel NUC 11 Pro series is available in three different chassis designs, which either add better connectivity and cooling, or make room for a 2.5-inch storage drive to be installed. They have Thunderbolt 4 connections in all cases, capable of transmitting video through the DisplayPort standard with 8K resolution at 60 Hz.
The flagship model is the NUC 11 Extreme (Phanter Canyon NUC11PHBi7) which has a TDP of no less than 150 watts, but only because it is the only model to incorporate a dedicated RTX 2060, as well as Optane Mem H10 memory and 16 GB of RAM. in its basic model, since it is obviously a mini PC for gaming.
We can tell you are their technical specifications that you can find in the following table:
It is possible that you find it curious that Intel has given these technical specifications of its new equipment but that it has not said with what storage or RAM they come, and it is that except for the top-of-the-range model that, as we have specified before, incorporates 16 GB of RAM of factory, the rest are mere barebones, that is, they come without a storage unit or RAM memory, so that it will be the user who has to choose and install them on their own. However, it is also curious that Intel says that some of them come with Windows 10 pre-installed as standard, so they will have to have some type of storage.
